i feel on top of the woooooooooorld

I went shopping today at fairview mall with my dad. Well, he basically waited for me while i shopped by myself. It felt so good to shop again. All the malls in hamilton are pretty sketchy and overpriced, so it was great coming back home and seeing cheap deals (LOL).

In the car halfway home, i realized that my wristlet wasn't with me. Turns out that i left it in the washroom at fairview. I was kinda freaked out because EVERYTHING was in there: my mac card, my bank card, all my other cards, my go tickets. So my dad quickly turned around and i dashed to the washroom. When i saw that it wasnt there, i ran to guest services and THANK GOD it was there. Someone had turned it in. I was so thankful. I'll never know who turned it in, but whoever they are, i hope people are as good to them as they were to me. BLESS THEM.

so for dinner, we had a camp FITS social at pickle barrel. It was good seeing everyone again. I ordered this lobster ravioli (i wish i had taken a picture) because there were literally 6 pieces of ravioli. But it was good, so i can't really complain. When we left, we stood around the front of the restaurant for a while talking, and the waiter comes out to us saying that we had underpaid by 10$. I was the one counting the money, so i SWEAR that we had paid the right amount, but whatever. he was so pissed at us LOL.

I don't really wanna leave for mac tmr, but i don't have a choice. I think i finally understand why people say 'there's no place like home,' cuz honestly, nothing can replace home.

i let go, i fell in

im hoooooooooooooooome :)

it was such a relief to be home. i haven't seen my family in over 3 weeks, and i was really starting to miss home.

so midterms have finally ended, and the next big thing are the exam in the first few weeks of december. I'm not really going to think about those until monday though, I'll start studying little by little. Alot has happened in the past week or so.

I swear i've become nocturnal now. Actually, no, i've just become sleep deprived. I can see it when i wake up in the morning x__x. stupid eva and tim. they're really something e

lse. they wake up after 6pm everyday and sleep at 6am in the morning. That's great and all, but they make us want to stay up with them; and that's usually what happens.

i've developed a daily routine. Here's my typical day (starting from when eva wakes up):

6pm-11pm : study/hwk/dinner

~11pm-12am: eva asks to go to justin & tim's res; i say no.

~1-2am: i end up going

2am-(4-6am): hangout in their res

6am-(9-10am): sleep

then class til 6ish

and the cycle repeats itself. EVERY NIGHT.

I should have more self-control. I use to have so much of it in highschool, but i've lost control of it :(. I talked to Nico the other night while i was at their res. He said that he considers eva his roomate now because she's always at their res LOLOL. I actually feel sorry for him because he's usually an early sleeper and because of the constant noise that eva makes at 3am in the morning, he's been sleep deprived.

I don't know how i manage to get up in the morning. Honestly, thank god justin's in most of my classes, he always wakes me up and vice versa.

The other day Nico hosted a birthday party for his friend Daphne. Eva told me to go and meet people, so i did! I didn't stay really long though

because I didn't really know them. But they had all these jello shots and stuff.

Tim showed me his fridge a few days before the party (before i knew about it) and i was so amazed at it. it was so trippy.

We also went out to watch the "meteor shower" the other day. We went behind bates to the bridge and then to that forest area. There was a trail that led to the lake behind mac, and tim & i wanted to go so badly but eva kept screaming at us calling us retarded. tim called her a 'see lai' and she got pissed and kicked his ass ROFL. we saw alot of constellations as well! Orion's belt was the one that kept appearing. While i was looking at it, i saw a meteor fly by! i was so excited. Too bad the rest of them couldn't catch it. but it was such an amazing site.

Yesterday I made justin and matthew download professor layton 2. WHOOOO. can't wait to download it on my own ds and play :)

so the strike officially ended yesterday, so labs and tuts are back !

Second wave of midterms are approaching ONCE AGAIN. boooo :(

my first midterms werent the best. actually, they were crap. total bs. but whatever, i only have myself to blame. my next midterm is on thursday, so fingers crossed for that :)

SO, the res wide formal at mac was last friday.

It was like prom all over again. We had to meet up at different places according to where our res was located, so that was kind of a hassle. ESPECIALLY since like 3/4 of my friends lived of the other side of campus.

the formal was held at this convention center. it was actually pretty nice. the reception was kinda boring because I didn't know everyone there, but oh well.

honestly, the beginning was boring. i was dead tired because i slept at 4 the night before. (thanks to matthew and justin), but they were dying along with me, so it was all good LOL.

there was also dancing and stuff. so that was fun :)

After the formal, everyone went to jason's room for an "after party". we played truth or dare - with drinks :) . i HATE the taste/smell/feeling of drinks. i only had a sip and i wanted to puke.

but yeah, the dares were crazy. i think i'll actually say them here since none of them know that i have a blog LOL. i'll be able to look back on this and laugh :)

- ___________ was dared to draw on matthews face after he passed out (they will be unnamed because he might read this LOL)

- ___________ was dared to put their ass on matthews face

- ___________ was dared to kiss matthew's arm

- jason was dared to put deep cool(?) on his balls (some thing for athletes that they put on their muscles)

- matt was dared to put his bare butt against a window

- matt was dared to kiss tim (on the cheek) HAHAHHA. still priceless.

- matt and justin were dared to strip each other and switch clothes.

- justin was dared to kiss tim AWWWW LMFAOOOOO. tim was on a roll.

- justin was dared to eat a goldfish cracker off my nose (stupid jen)

- tim was dared to wear his boxers on his head

- maggie was dared to kiss me (on the cheek)

- maggie was dared to hug jason

- jen was dared to kiss me (on the cheek)

- jen was dared to lift jason up LOLOLOL. HERCULES JEN.

- i was dared to sit on justin T____________T. (stupid jen AGAIN).

- natalie was dared to piggyback matthew

& much more that i don't rmb.

FUN TIMES.

when we got back to bates, matt and jason crashed at my res because tim & justin's room smelled like crap LOLS. and cuz they didn't have enough couches. but in the end, tim and justin came over and tim brought his mattress hahah. when my roomate came back on saturday, she was like 'wtf' at the amount of blankets in our living room.

aaaaaaand when eva came back on sunday, she was like "WHT HAPPENED AT FORMAL. KAREN, TELL ME EVERYTHING. DID U DANCE? ;) , I SAW FB PICS OF U, OMGOGMGOGMGO". oh eva, you're something else :)

i'm actually so glad i got to know her though. she's so awesome and i never have a dull moment around her. she's so direct and open. like, the other day when us bates people went to boston pizza, she randomly goes "so guys, when was the last time you jerked off?" LMFAO.

its funniest when she goes "KAREN IM FUCKING BOREDDDD". i tell her to go bug tim and justin (since they're across the hall) knowing well that they get annoyed LOLOL. no im just kidding, it's all for fun. they love her.

AND ON TOP OF THAT, eva and tim are horrible people ;( i think she influenced him to constantly make fun of me whenever i walk into his res. Before yesterday, it was only eva that teased, but now tim does it nonstop as well. for example: when i go into his room to hangout, hes all "why are you in my room?" and eva's all "justin's room is over there." like, thanks guys. srsly. THANKS FOR MAKING RUMOURS !

I think ever since I came to mac, i started to find out who i really was. I don't have my parents around me 24/7 to monitor what i do or to tell me what i do. I've learned to make my own decisions and through that, i'm learning what kind of person i really am.

WELL, that was what happened in the past week. i need to study hard for my midterm now. AHH.

Strike @ MAC

The TA strike at Mac was official at 12am on October 31st 2009.
THIS MEANS:
- no labs
-no iclickers in tutorials
- postponed midterms.
i honestly don't know what to think about it. I'm glad midterms are postponed though, i finally get to catch up without labs being there. WHOO.

I've been sleep deprived for the last few weeks. Actually, that's probably my fault because I don't end up sleeping til 3-4 in the morning because i'm hanging out with friends LOL. I'm starting to get closer to people which is awesome.

I don't have much to write about, BUT there's a res formal this friday so i'll probably write more then!
